Rated 5 out of 5 by from JEGS Power valve cures bad hesitation. My 1974 Capri V6 was having a severe hesitation soon after going full throttle. After making sure things like the accelerator pump was working, no vacuum leaks, etc. I decided to replace the power valve. The car uses a Motorcraft 2150 two barrel carb, (1976 engine). After measuring the engine vacuum at a warm idle of 18" of Hg, I used the rule of thumb to divide the vacuum reading in half and use that number (9" of Hg), for the power valve. The carb is stock and designed by Holley so the Jegs power valve will fit, I chose the 9.5" high flow calibrated power valve. I can say that the high flow 9.5" valve quickly supplies the needed fuel upon acceleration without a problem. The car now really gets out of it's way! BTW, The stock valve was set to 8: of Hg.
