    JEGS Tubular Headers offer an immediate increase in performance by eliminating backpressure, improving exhaust flow, and building more horsepower. Constructed from cold-rolled, flash-controlled 16-gauge steel tubing and finished with heat resistant black satin paint or silver ceramic coating. The consistent tubing diameter contributes to the smooth air flow and greater exhaust velocity of these headers. Equipped with an o-ring port seal and 5/16" flanges that are heavy enough to maintain header integrity, yet pliable enough to create a leak free seal. Carefully engineered, mandrel-formed collectors are welded with precision for the perfect fit. Headers do not have internal coating.

So much so that I had them blasted and I painted them with high temp paint form VHT. When I tried to install them on my car I couldn't get them to line up with the studs. Luckily I had an extra cylinder head laying around. When I checked the header against the head i was shocked to see the bolt holes didn't line up! It took me an hour of drilling and filing to get it to line up with the studs. The overall quality of the headers is good but the bolt holes being off is kind of ridiculous.

    How do these headers (JEGS headers 555-30081) fit around the steering shaft and torsion bar of a 1968 thru 1970 Dodge B-Body, in other words do these components (steering shaft and torsion bar) need to be removed for installation?
