    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love It! Finally This is a great item to compliment my LS3 swap for my 2004 Colorado pickup. Easy to read and operate but not easy to install on newer computerized vehicles. Computers send serial data of several dash items on one wire lead, making it impossible for me to tap into. This unit does not provide feedback to your computer system so if you do splice into PCM/ECM leads you will impact your computer. For instance , if you pick up your speedometer signal from your existing VSS signal you may impact the accuracy of items relying on that signal (ABS, auto shift points, engine adjustments, even cruise control). Also, there is no setting for newer (1999 +) Chevy fuel guage senders that use a different ohm range (40-240). It was so tenuous that I installed this unit as a completely separate system and left my existing instrumentation alone. Except, I did use the fuel sender on my tank and ran a resistor (140ohm) in parallel with it that mimics the 0-90 ohm selection on the unit.. I grounded the fuel sender lead to the PCM thru a 150ohm resistor to eliminate the low fuel warning light and buzzer. I bought the STA -1000 Speed/Tach Interface Module from JEGS to get my tach and speedometer signals and it works perfectly. I mounted this unit in the upper part of my dash panel. The lower part of my original dash panel is still visible, so, I can read my computer warnings, blinkers, high beam, MIL, etc easily. There may be better ways to install this unit, but, I had already modified my dash panel to install it, no going back. Electrical not too hard, I used fuse taps from the fuse box for my power and relay activation. These taps make life really simple. I would have given this 5 stars if the product info was better.
