Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more standing on my head Purchased to relocate oil filter for better access on my sailboat, so I don't have to stand on my head to change the filter. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kit. Will make life much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I could not find a remote filter kit for my cub cadet tractor anywhere but you had it. Perfect fit went on easily in about 45 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remote Oil Filter Bought this unit as opposed to others, because it is not die cast construction. However, I could not use it in my particular application due to limitations of room for the hoses above the adapter plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I needed Bought this to move the oil filter away from a bracket after replacing the engine on my mower with a diesel. Had a few issues, well,- because it's a mower. 1 - the original filter was actually smaller 2 1/2" vice 2 3/4. 2 the engine maker had a bevel where the filter gasket would seat, which gave the o-ring of this kit a few fits. I added some black RTV, and an extra 1/2 turn once dry - perfect. This kit gives you plenty of parts, and plety of hose. All the aluminum is very nicely molded/machined, and I even used a 2009 honda civic filter at the new location! so I'm 3/4" on the engine and 22mm on the filter side now, and in a pinch, I think I could use whatever I have around. Oh, and this was the best priced kit out there that I found.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good, but be prepared to buy more parts I got this to install some oil temp and pressure sensors as well as to make oil changes less of a punishment for my RX-8. I installed everything using only parts included in this kit. For the first few weeks, things were pretty good. There was a minor leak around one of the hose barbs, but overall not too bad. But within the next few weeks, the leak got *much* worse, and eventually *all four* hose barbs were leaking. A lot. I took the kit apart, and even though the hoses were clamped tight, they could still spin freely. The hoses themselves had a lot of cracks as well. I bought some new higher-quality hoses and hose barbs and reinstalled the kit, and thus far I have zero leaks. Overall, this cost me about $100. I'd say it was worth it. Maybe the included hoses and barbs will work for you, but I'd recommend replacing them before even attempting to install the kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Kit, But No Instructions & Cheap Hose Clamps This remote filter kit has a lot of things going for it. The filter adapter and remote mount are well-made and clearly marked for in and out. The kit also came with a wide variety of fittings and adapters for every application. After installation, the system operated exactly as designed and did not leak. It also came with a lot of hose, giving you more options for placement. The only negative is that the hose clamps were on the cheap side. One stripped and none of them could be tightened enough to prevent the hoses from rotating on the barbed fittings. I would recommend using a wider, heavier set of hose clamps. It would also be nice if the kit came with instructions. This kit is ideal if you've installed headers, a turbo or other items which severely restrict access to your oil filter in the stock location. It also makes installation of an oil cooler simple. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed for my Fiesta ST Just what I needed for my Fiesta ST, was able to use the included adapters and fits perfectly on my ST. Ended up needing to buy a set of 3/8 to -8an fittings for the actual relocation part, not sure why the include 1/2 to -8an for the filter side but not the other. The one review was right, I needed to get in there with a file and knock down a couple of places, which is the reason for the 4 over 5 star review. Mine didn't come with instructions but was able to find a copy, but it didn't go over how to actual use the included adapters as they would easily thread in too far to be useful. I ended up using some red (permanent) threadlocker to keep them in place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall a pretty good kit I should have done my homework better since I needed side facing fitting on adapter so I had to buy another adapter. Additionally routing was to close to headers to use rubber lines so braided lines were another add. Now it is up and running fine with no oil pressure drop

Will this item work on a engine using a FRAM PH8170 filter? The filters outside diameter is 2.96" . I want to remote mount oil filters on our mowing equipment and this is the trial unit. Thank You.

    Asked by: CaptArt
This will mount to an oil filter pad that uses a 2.75" o-ring to seal the filter.

Does anyone know the OD of the block adapter plate please? I understand the filter is 2.75in OD but I just want to make sure that the adapter plate is not larger. Thanks

    Asked by: R1 L7
The OD of the block adapter is 3.250"

What would be the correct fitting if I wanted to have a 90 degree angle at the adapter plate that connects to the engine?

    Asked by: Scott060462
This will depend on the type of hose you are hooking up, the block adapters have a 1/2" NPT thread size, so any adapter fitting you want to use dependent on the hose connection will work. http://www.jegs.com/c/Fittings-Hose/181705/10002/-1?N=1181705&Ntt=90+degree+1%2F2&Tab=SKU
