Excellent product
Nice pan that I modified a bit for my needs, right below the pipe plug there is enough room to drill and tap a 1/8 npt hole for a trans temp sender. The spot is thicker than the rest of tha pan. So far so good!!

excellent fit and finish....good quality product
I installed this pan on a newly rebuilt 4L60E. The transmission had 260,000 miles on it when it was pulled for rebuild. I wanted to insure I was doing everything possible to protect my investment in the rebuild so I added an aux. cooler and this pan to help dissipate unwanted heat and add additional fluid capacity. Trans temp dropped almost 30 degrees. I use this vehicle to do some towing so this was cheap insurance.

Very nice looks good on my 4l60 had a leek on the side hole but a m20-1.50 oil drain plug did the job think it cost 3.99

700R4 aluminum oil pan
Screamin' deal. You get extra capacity, deep fins, aluminum material for better heat dissipation, temp sensor tap, drain plug, installation kit ( you need to print instruction sheet from Jeg's website though, mine didn't come with one), and a great price (don't change it). Look very closely at this one, you may get a surprise.

difficult fit on 04 sierra 5.3 4x4
this will fit a 4l60e on a 2004 sierra / silverado but it requires dropping the exhaust for installation and the drain plug is located directly above the exhaust cross over pipe. nice to have the extra capacity and the aluminum pan with fins that dissipate heat, but not nice to have the drain plug where it's hard to get to.

Jegs aluminum 4l60 deep pan
Everything is great. Pan works great with temp sensor plugged in the side. You need Teflon or pipe dope to seal the sensor to everyone saying it leaks. 1 complaint though is that I can't use a deep pan filter. It comes with an extension but requires to have 2 total seals with the filter, one in the normal spot and one in the extension. Having to use just 1 seal to me seems much better. Besides that I'm happy with it. Thanks Jegs!

Nice pan... BUT?
I got tired of the leaks with the stock pan. So I bought the cast pan for better seal. I had 2 issues with this product. Issue 1 was the kit did not come with the 2 prints for the extention pick up tube for the filter. Issue 2 was the gasket bolt holes are to large to hold the bolts in. Laying on your back under a raised 2 tons of bricks chasing bolt holes is not a fun game to play..
