    Easily removes tie rod ends and pitman arm assemblies from most cars and light trucks. JEGS Tie Rod End and Pitman Arm puller has an opening size of 1-1/16" (27mm) and pull travel of 2-1/8" (54mm). Heat treated center screw with hex and 3/8" drive provisions. The yoke is forged from a heavy duty steel alloy.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tool Used this tool this weekend to remove my old pitman arm. There is a rubber boot between the pitman arm and steering box on my '93 Silverado that initially prevented me from getting the tool inserted over the center of the splined stud. Used a flat tip screwdriver to push that boot up and this tool slides right in. When pulling the pitman arm off, I would load the tool 2 pulls on the breaker bar and use a hammer to smack the side of the arm a little. It came right off and didn't see where this tool stretched or was deformed in any way, shape, or form. I did use grease between the rotating stud and the gearbox stud to aid it turning and reduce galling. Only issue with this tool was some sharp burrs where this tool was tapped through during manufacture and some of those burrs were really sharp and cut me. Removed the stud and filed the burrs off and no further issues.
