For street machines, rods and oval track, the Lakewood transmission adapter delivers extra strength with .25'' thick hydroformed steel. These adapters are much stronger than the factory aluminum belhousings and allow for easier welding of brackets, etc. that are usually required when doing engine swaps. This is not an SFI approved bellhousing.
