This low profile distributor is made for an EFI system with limited space behind the engine and ready to drop in your race engine. The sync pickup is fixed at 45° BTDC on the number one cylinder. The cap is a wide, Ford-style to improve voltage distribution and to reduce the chnaces of ionization and spark scatter.Note: Must use a crank trigger and MSD 6,7 or 8 Series Ignition Control when not used with an ECU.Note: Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles. - Must be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8-Series Ignition and Crank Trigger.
MSD Pro-Billet Cam Sync Distributors are available with a non-magnetic sync pickup and a version with a Hall-effect switch. Both have an adjustable sync pickup to meet ECU requirements (up to 60° BTDC), which fires fuel injectors in the same order as the engine's firing order. This synchronization system requires a sync signal to know when the number one cylinder is firing and is used in high-performance applications. Cam Sync Distributors are housed in CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum for strength. Chevy models include a slip collar, iron gear, and adjustable rotor.
