The Soft Touch Engine Saver is designed to be used only with the MSD 8 Ignition Controls. It provides two rpm limits so you can have an overrev limit and set a low limit for consistent launches. Since the Engine Saver is only used with the MSD 8 Series Ignitions, it also has a slight timing retard circuit that activates when the rev limit kicks in. This helps smooth the limit on big cubic inch, high compression engines. The Engine Saver is supplied with 7,000, 8,000, and 9,000 RPM modules, and plugs directly into an MSD 8 Ignition Control
