For naturally aspirated or forced induction combinations over 600 HP, twin disks allow for lower static pressure, less pedal effort, and much more holding power. Ford kits are
1-1/16" x 10 spline; GM are 1-1/8" x 10 or 26 spline. A Borg & Beck long pressure plate ensures quicker shifts with less pedal travel; it is recommended for LS-powered GM vehicles. Floater straps are used for dampening, and they keep the floater plate from rattling when a clutch is disengaged. A Marcel spring helps keep the assembly from chattering during engagement.
