Created by Victor Reinz, a world leader in engine gasket manufacturing, Solicor technology was initially for diesel engine applications with 20-to-1 and greater compression ratios. Solicor gaskets are composed of a high-density, non-asbestos facing laminated to a solid steel core. The core provides radial strength for a steel wire ring encased in the stainless steel combustion flange (ideal for high-combustion chamber pressures). A unique fluorocarbon coating is applied for maximum sealing of both cast iron and aluminum cylinder heads.
