So going from 1.6 to 1.7 rocker will change lift, what about duration?

    Asked by: Duke
It will not change the seat duration, but it will increase the area under the curve so the engine will act like it has slightly more duration.

When you go to next size up( 1.7 ) from ( 1.6 ) rocker on a 302 ford is that adding extra lift to the cam?

    Asked by: Duke
Yes going up in ratio will add lift. You can figure out how much of a change in lift by taking the rated lift of the cam divided by 1.6 then multiply by 1.7 to get the new lift with the higher ratio
