Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good alternative if not doing a restoration I bought this mostly to redo the wiring under the dash and the engine bay. I am also converting to EFI and a 1 wire alternator and an MSD ignition and the ammeter wiring fried the under dash wiring, so I wanted to get the wiring fixed before I did anything else. The kit is fairly simple, although the directions I think could be better. Every wire is marked with what it is for and what section(panel lights, taillights, headlights; etc) These are generic kits, so you will have wires you don't need. It does take time, but is very doable for a car guy to install. You get plenty of wire to do any job. I cut excess off at every connection. I will say that I did not use the headlight or taillight wiring all the way to the lights. These areas were fine on my car, so I went to the block connector behind the kick panel for the taillights and connected them there and cut the headlight wires just before the radiator support and put in a connector there (not supplied).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Quality!!! Bought this harness for my 65 Fury and it fits great.Quality is first rate, and harness is well thought out. Wiring harness is a bit expensive but worth every penny if you would compare sourcing it yourself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better to replace the wire in the old harness I purchased the harness about 6 weeks ago. I had used a few pre-made harnesses on some new hot rods and was generally pleased. I have found with Painless, NEVER use it to replace an old existing harness. Painless is of no help! When you have a problem there is no help, there is no wiring diagram for the Painless Harness, so you have to guess what it does, or do what I did, installed a separate fuse box next to it. Mopar will have a gage like the temperature, with 2 wires and Painless has 1 wire or Mopar uses trouble lights and Painless expects gages. The labels are not always easy to read. They use the same colours with different numbers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not really for 1970s Mopars I purchased this unit for my 1970 Chrysler 300 expecting it would work, with a few things that would not be included. I had hoped I might get some support form Painless. I have called painless 4 times and never got help once. I had hoped they could tell me how to wire up the temperature warning light and the oil light, as the kit is for a temperature and oil pressure gauge. They could not. They were no help on wiring the power windows or power top. They could not supply me with a wiring diagram of the harness I purchased as I wanted to trace the spare wires to see if I could use them. I am sure my car is not the only Mopar with these options. I will end up with two wiring harnesses, the Painless and my own that will handle the items they did not include. It would have been nice to have spare wires and documentation on how to use them.
