Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit, Excellent Tech Support, Great Quality Bought this for a ford flathead six that has a flathead V8 flywheel on a 25 KW generator. Needed to verify specs and Powermaster tech support was very helpful and responded quickly. Since this generator powers my whole house, I'll be buying a second unit as a backup. Unit bolted right up. Took only a few minutes. Only modification was I had to replace the heavy 6 volt power cable with one with a 5/16 ring lug. I chose to buy a new cable and solder on a 5/16 ring lug instead of using the cable provided 3/8 ring lug so I have the best connection for this application. This starter needs to be able to crank for long er periods in extreme cold weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised I read many reviews of the OEM style starter by Powermaster and that lead me to buy this one. I've only started the engine a few times so far, but it works very well and shaves a few pounds to boot. The other thing I really like is the bendix gear pops OUT, not IN like OEM....this allowed me to use the 70+ yr old flywheel that had some fudged ring gear teeth. They weren't completely chewed off, just on the pressure plate side...works great and looks really good. Machine work etc is excellent.
