Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Deal! Bought for a non-intercooled 12 valve cummins, everything was a direct fit minus having to buy injectors with a 7mm tip. Seems to be good quality. I Only have a couple hundred miles on it so far tho. How ever the crate was busted upon arrival but I couldn’t find any damage to the cylinder head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Built Head Bought this after and exhausting search of other replacement heads. This worked perfect for my mild build (350hp est) cummins after I found several cracks and a bad intake valve. Installed on my 90 Non-Ic engine so I had to upgrade injectors but this thing runs better than it ever did. Casting and finish were excellent and came with 60lb springs on the exhaust already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent replacement head I purchased for a high horsepower marine Cummins. Fit is perfect. Installation simple. 40 hours on motor so far, operation is perfect. I’m very pleased and will purchase second unit for other motor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thicker casting Head fit great. Thicker casting however exhaust valve seals were all split in half, rode up the valve when adjusting lash. Called jegs and they tried to make it right but had to go through the manufacture and they were closed. Got tired of waiting. Got new seals myself

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cylinder head but there are some things The casting and all the threaded holes are dialed. The deck surface was perfect. My two complaints cast in valve seats suck to me. They also said ready to install and if u want to lose compression possibly burn a valve then go ahead and just instal it. Me I like all my compression and a really good seal at the valve and seat. That being said I just lapped mine in took me awhile but that’s okay. Now I have a really solid sealing surface. I’d recommend a valve job but lapping them iin real nice is a MUST. I’m waiting for the sun to come up and it’s fine in the hole

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome for price Bought it and the next week I put it on. Everything seemed to fit awesome. Am really impressed with the casting and as the other gentleman said I was to leary of the price but for a mild build it is perfect for anyone. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was i opened the box and there was alot of wood shavings from the box it was shipped in but other than that good product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just as described Purchased head leery of price and quality. Gave it straight out of the box to my machine shop to have it all checked. Everything checked out ok. Would recommend for budget minded builds, valves not the best quality. Hopefully it hold up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 1996 12v 6 bt intake issue I ordered head for a 1996 12v 6bt Cummins head looked good and installed good up to the point where I tried to install intake plate casting in head stopped it from laying flat had to purchase a aftermarket intake I’ll let you know how that works

Are the valve springs stock or 160# or ??

    Asked by: Pipewelder
The ProMaxx 723-CHR618N cylinder head uses stock valve springs.

Do these replacement heads come with top hat style valve seals or the push on stlye? Reason for asking is the push on stlye like to ride up valve stem where the top hats are held in place by the valve springs.

    Asked by: 010i020e
These heads will have the hat style valve stem seals.
