Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome motor and customer support I bought this motor in October for a 85 Elco. Bolted in nicely with minor adjustments. Customer support was awesome talking me through any minor challenges during install. Motor fired up nicely and has run smooth and fast ever since. It also gets twice the gas mileage that the tired 305 did. I would recommend this motor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid investment for any project Doing a full resto on my 86 Chevy K10, chose this engine after much research. This was my first time doing a full engine swap / fresh start up, so I had a lot of questions (much of which could be answered by reading the included instructions or watching Youtube). Engine arrived sealed in heavy duty plastic, secured in a pallet / crate, had Holley 670 Street Avenger carb and air cleaner fully mounted ready to go, as was the harmonic balancer and flex plate / timing cover. Very little adjustment was needed for any of this. There was residual oil showing it had clearly been tested prior to being shipped from Chevy, serial tag on block shows it was made in Mexico. I mounted Chevy's full serpentine drive front end kit to it, everything fit fine other than the idler support on the passenger side bracket not fitting with the Headman headers (I had to move the stud from the third hold from the front to the first hole and fabricate my own support to make it fit), some manner of issues such as this is to be expected in a full resto. Plugs and wires were installed and routed as was the distributor (you'll need to mark it prior to removing it to prime the engine so you reinstall it properly and avoid initial timing issues), but timing was close enough as it was to start up with no issue. Follow the break in instructions (you'll need to hook up an oil pressure gauge and tach to ensure you're running the engine at or around 2500rpm to break the cam in for the first half hour). I have yet to actually drive the engine as I'm still into the body work, but will update my review as necessary.

Will this fit my 1994 suburban?

    Asked by: Rayy
Yes, this will fit. You would need to run a bypass regulator to drop your fuel pressure down to 6-7 psi as your TBI pump puts out much higher pressure than the carburetor can handle. Also hooking up your throttle cable, TV cable, etc will require some work, but it can be done.
