What is the ideal rim diameter for clearance of the tie rod and steer linkage to be able to run a wider tire? Also what is the allowable positive offset? This is for a 69 camaro.

    Asked by: Will0351
To run wider than a 8" you a minimum 17" wheel is required, 18" is preferred though. We have used up to an 18 x 10 w/ a 5.75" backspacing. Inner fender modifications may be required depending on stance. Always validate the backspacing on your vehicle.
