Rated 5 out of 5 by from Noticeably Smoother I've driven about 600 miles since changing the transmission oil in my 98 Cobra using Royal Purple Synthetic oil. Previously when shifting from neutral to first I could feel a very small lurch in the drive train, since changing the oil that has disappeared.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meh...Jegs has the best deal This stuff didn't really help with the knobbyness and sometimes hard shifting (especially in the cold) as I thought it would. Maybe a little...Jegs is probably the most competitive as far as price is concerned. Fast shipping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Research This Before Buying!!! After Having a clutch changed in my 2004 Dodge SRT-4, I decided it was time to also change the transmission fluid. Being a manual trans, I researched what Dodge put in there from the factory, and it ended up being automatic transmission fluid, specifically ATF+4. Now, reading the side of the bottle of the Royal Purple fluid, it says that it covers all manual transmissions that use automatic transmission fluid as the lubricant. Not so. In my particular case, after 200 miles with this in there, it damaged my syncros, because the syncros in the T-850 5 speed transmission have a fiber facing. It destroyed them. I now have grinding in all gears. I'm the original owner of the car...been driving it almost every day for 10 years, and I've NEVER had grinding in ANY gear up until I used this. Upon advise from a transmission shop that specializes in SRT-4 transmissions, I got the fluid out of there asap. But now, I have to replace all my syncros because of this to the tune of about $1500. I feel Royal Purple owes me a transmission rebuild.
