    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Purple Synthetic SUPER OIL's We don't run anything BUT ROYAL PURPLE, Even the New Car 2014 Ford Explorer has the SN RATED RP 5W20 oil in it. Used Ford's oil for first two Oil Changes and then went to RP. Have in In Two Race Cars, One with a 427 BBC on Alcohol, XPR 10W40 and the other a 572 BBC Injected Alcohol XPR 10W40, Cat Diesel in Motorhome with a Flat Tappet Cam use the HPS 10W40 for the Protection that we used to get from our old Rotella T before they took all the Zinc and additives out. The RP is the Slickest OIL I have ever used and when Brake Cleaner and Lacquer thinner won't cut it, It is GOOD STUFF. No more DRY STARTS after using it. Forgot to mention Even use the HPS 10W30 in our Exmark KOHLER 30Hp Air cooled Engine, and the Four Wheeler. Everything. There is that PEACE of MIND know that everything is getting the Best Lubrication possible.

It is outstanding oil and provides the type of protection needed for cars that area high compression, high torque/hp equipped and driven on a limited basis. HPS pays off when your car sits for a couple of weeks and that critical layer of protective oil has slowly dripped off critical surfaces. HPS binds to these surfaces and start up is easier and I am not concerned about that initial higher idle. It does its job, worth the cost. Can't beat JEGS free shipping and delivery. I always keep HPS on hand in my garage for my out of warranty cars.

    Is this oil good for older HP engines with flat tappet cams such as 427 Corvettes and 440 Mopars?
