High engine temperatures are the enemy of horsepower. At high temps, engine knock is a problem and the factory computers reduce engine timing to stop knock, which kills power. SLP's lower temperature thermostats reduce coolant temperatures and keep engine knock to a minimum. They are easy to install, require no additional modifications and are a cost effective way to improve your vehicle's performance.

    100228 - SLP Low-Temp Thermostat is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be to low of a temp I installed this thermostat in a 2004 6.0 swap and temps are about 20 degrees cooler versus the stock running around 180. what's odd is my fans use to kick on at 165 now my fans kick on at 180 and sometimes don't even turn on with a short drive

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Thermostat and gasket are both very cheap. It leaked and I ended up putting the OEM back in. Very disappointing.
