PCE147.1008 - Speedmaster Holeshot Intake Manifolds is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs some work. First off, the intake manifold needs a couple things- If you're using a quadrajet (or other Spread bore) carburetor, you may have to grind out the openings for the large secondaries. My throttle plates wouldn't open. Placing the gasket as a template, I had to remove about 1/16 inch of material around some of the inner edge of the casting. While the intake did have provisions for EGR, an EGR Valve will not fit on the mounting surface. It will hit the valve covers because the surface is at too steep an angle. The valve diaphragm housing interferes with the valve covers. You'll have to buy/make spacers

I want to use this intake for a SBC Gen 1 for present and future config of Heads (original Kidney shape to aftermarket Heart-Vortec). Can this intake be used for both configs ? Applic. is Street use only.

    Asked by: ATA32pro
This intake is for '86 and older bolt pattern. It will not bolt up to the Vortec style heads.
