PCE148.1008 - Speedmaster Qualifier ER Series Intake Manifolds is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made manifold. Purchased for a lm7 replacement as plastic manifold wouldn't hold 8psi of boost. I found no problem with quality but lm7 throttle body wouldn't work without adapter. Injectors & fuel rail won't fit without machining. Had to replace valley cover bolts with flat head machine screws. Works great after a lot of mods. Had to glue intake to head gasket as it's impossible to hold in place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Cost I bought this a month ago. It arrived with all parts in the box which was great. However if your mounting this on a 4.8 LS engine. You will need to replace the valley pan bolts with button top bolts M8 x 1.25 x 30mm 64 cents at True Value. This allows the Intake to sit flush on the heads. The company selling this product needs to consider sending a regular style Grade 8 bolt 89 cents from True Value with this as the Allen head style bolts where trashed. The gaskets that came with the kit are adequate but if you need replacements good luck. As I am looking for some as we speak. Overall I like the appearance of the manifold, however I did paint it for added protection and look. I would definitely recommend this product to someone .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and cheap but loose casting in runners If you buy this take the bottom plate off and chip the loose pieces of casting out. No hammer needed. There is a bunch of loose casting material that will come off with your finger. Other than that it looks pretty decent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure about this intake due to low quality Initially the packaged arrived at my house and it looked like it had been thrown around quite a bit. The box was beat up, and the package tape was horrible. I opened the box up, and the intake looked pretty bad. It was uneven on all surfaces. The outside had uneven casting plugs that were barely ground down. The inside of it was worse. There was casting flash that was nearly about to break off while just touching it! I hope noone else ran theirs like this. Not to mention that every one of the ports were not the same size... I know that this is an inexpensive intake, but what really made me mad was that when I went to gasket match the ports, I found that the injector holes were all not at the same height in relation to the port. Major casting shift it looks like. I bought this intake to be a step up from the ls6, but it's a big piece of junk. Buyer beware for sure, and I am surprised that Jegs carries this product. No way I will run this thing, and I consider it wasted money.

How will the speed master qualifier intake manifold be different from my stock 5.3 manifold?

    Asked by: Luis11
This will make more mid-range and top end power.
