    Stainless Steel Brake Company offers a Competition Series Front Disk Brake kit that gives you more braking ability than like sized kits in a strong lightweight package! You get the Competition 4 piston caliper, the SSBC Big Bite cross drilled brake rotors and all the mounting brackets and hardware.

    By making the Competition Series caliper out of 6061 T6 Aluminum and using four 45mm stainless steel pistons and Teflon coated stainless steel bleeder screws you are getting an ultra strong yet light weight caliper! Designing the caliper to work with the easy to find D43 type brake pads you are getting 25 percent more contact are than similar calipers and a longer lasting brake pad because the D43 is typically 20 percent thicker than comparable calipers pads! The calipers are available in a standard clear anodized finish, or powder coated red or black finishes.

    In order to create a quieter brake package SSBCs Competition caliper uses a dual pad pin design equipped with o-rings to eliminate brake pad chatter. You get a quieter brake system that also eliminates clamping vibration to increase braking ability.

    The Competition kits come in two types, The Comp S for street use and Comp R for race use only. The street version comes with a dust seals to keep your oil seals protected from dust and debris but does increase the weight of the caliper. The Comp R does not include the dust seals creating a lighter weight caliper package, but it does require more maintenance, cleaning and upkeep than the dust seal equipped Comp S.
