Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to install I struggled for a while about making the decision to upgrade to an electronic overdrive transmission (4l60e). I just happened to have one sitting in my shed from a truck I previously owned. I am 100% old school and not tech savvy by any means, so anything computer controlled, I’ve always steered clear of. When my TH400 tranny gave out I really didn’t have a choice but to roll the dice and try my luck with the 4l60e. After a little research and watching the installation video for the Fast EZ-TCU, I felt confident that I could do the swap without any problems. I followed the “basic” instructions to a “T” and to this day, 30 days later, I still haven’t had any problems. It was very simple to install and because of that I’m happy I went with the EZ-TCU. It has restored the fun in “hot rodding” because I’ve been able to play around with it and set different shift patterns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Installation I installed a 4L80E transmission in my 1972 GMC, with a carbuerated 489 BBC. I used a TCI EZ-TCU to control the transmission. It was shipped quickly, installed and works perfectly. I use the handheld in liv mode to monitor various functions with the engine and trans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Works great but it’s a pricey and not everything is included for the price but overall a good product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good budget controller It does what its supposed to do, control your trans shifting-there are more performance oriented controllers out there, but cost more. One thing that I dont like is every time you restart your engine, you have to re select the screen you want. Also no true manual mode, you have to set up a paddle shift deal, requires a ground and up/down switch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kinda works, kinda doesn’t Bought two of these and it doesn’t wanna shift right. Took the truck to the shop I had the trans rebuilt at and they said it’s the controller. One worked better than the other, but the 2-3 shift is very erratic. None of the settings seem to make any difference in how it shifts, performs or operates. 1985 K5 blazer with a 4L80E and a 6.2 diesel. Night work in a gas truck better but doesn’t seem to work in mine that great.
