7078NF - Tuff Stuff Black Alternators is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit Ford FE (390) Despite the Ford 390 being listed in the fitment guide, this alternator does not fit (case is too deep and hits the block), and the TuffStuff tech was aware of this - told me I had to return it and get the 70Amp model instead. Wasted a bunch of time & cost of cross-border shipping for the return. This is on the manufacturer, not on JEGS.

What does the one wire hybrid mean? It has a built in regulator and needs only one wire to the power distribution center?

    Asked by: CJ5Mike
The Tuff Stuff 908-7078NF is a 1-wire conversion alternator.
