    Chevy Small Block Carbureted Supercharger Kits

    This is a revised "universal" supercharging system designed for vehicles equipped with carbureted small block Chevrolet engines. Horsepower gains depend on boost levels, engine efficiency, etc., but can range from 30-75%. It offers improved application flexibility, increased supercharger mount rigidity and simple integration with existing OEM drive configurations. Installation time will also vary depending on application, but can range from 4-10 hours. This system has been verified to fit on 1970-1973 Camaro/Firebird (w/cowl hood), 1964-1972 Chevelle and 1955-1957 Sedan (BelAir/210 etc.) and 1968-1973 Nova/Chevy II. Note - Carbureted Tuner Kits do not include Vortech Carburetor Enclosure Box, which a similar box or hat must be sourced separately. Vortech PowerHat also available for purchase separately.

    Each Vortech Supercharging System is developed to operate as a seamless addition to the base vehicle. By employing the same methods as original manufacturers, Vortech engineers create integrated supercharger systems that appear as if they're original equipment yet operate at an even higher level of sophistication. The boost curve generated by Vortech Superchargers is ideally matched with today's highly evolved engines and provides a power-when-you-need-it sensation. The supercharger and its subsystems fully integrate into the vehicle's existing platform, yielding a smooth continuity of power and performance.

    Tuner Kits
    These configurations are designed for those qualified tuners or race shops who do not require the fuel managements items included in Vortech's standard systems. Among the items excluded are fuel pump, fuel injectors, FMU, air inlet assembly (T-Trim models), and ECM programmer or timing controller.

  • Oil feed & oil drain assemblies deliver the best possible lubrication and cooling for the supercharger, preferred for sustained boost conditions
  • High-flow air intake configuration with reusable air filter and specially designed inlet ducts for superior fit
  • Inlet and discharge duct connections utilize heat-resistant silicon sleeves and premium quality stainless steel clamps
  • OE-type cast aluminum or billet aluminum mounting bracketry for rigidity and a factory-installed appearance
  • Compatible with factory OBD-II engine management systems

  • Hi I have a small block 383 that is going into a 71 monte Carlo. This car will be my daily driver but it's going to be built to be a mild drag car. Does this kit include everything I need to install with this motor?

    This kit is the basic supercharger kit. It does not include the Vortech Carburetor Enclosure Box.

    Can I use this kit on a sbc zz4 bottom end forged stock crank powdered forged stock rods and after market forged pistons with a blower cam grind fastburn heads and a Fitech EFI? Or should i use a Demon blow through carb?

    This can be used with the Fitech EFI or a blow through carb. Both will provide good results. You would need to use the Fitech PowerAdder EFI though.

    Would this work WELL on a stock 305 sbc boat motor? Its a stock 305 with 220 horse in a 21 foot runabout. If so, what else would I need to do to make it work and what pressure can I run with ?

    It is not suggested to use a supercharger on a stock 305, you will need to minimum change to a forged piston to install this.
