    Note: This kit includes two extra 1/8" NPT plugs. Your manifold may have two 1/8" NPT ports tapped in the back of it. These are vacuum / boost ports that can be used for a boost gauge, boost reference power valves, or any other items that need to be connected to a boost / vacuum source. If these ports are not needed, use the included plugs to block these ports.

    Weiand superchargers can be found in all aspects of racing, from tractor pulls to the quarter mile. When you pull into your local cruise-in or dragstrip with one of these 8-71 superchargers sticking through the hood you are sure to be noticed. Producing 200-300 more horsepower, the 8-71 supercharger is for the hard core enthusiast!

    All 8-71 kits come with the extra tough 8mm belt configuration for maximum strength and durability.

    Installation Notes:
  • 8-71 Superchargers are perfectly suited for modified engines with 7.5:1 to 8:1 compression ratios. May require race gas unless pulley ratios are altered to reduce effective compression ratio below 12:1 (See 8-71 Supercharger Pulleys)
  • Kits are designed for stamped steel V-belt accessories. The use of billet pulleys may require custom machine work and/or spacers.
  • Must use short water pumps with maximum 2 "V" pulley.
  • Weiand highly recommendeds the use of a double keyed crankshaft and double keyed, steel, SFI approved balancer.

    Note: Will not clear GM HEI distributor. Engine not included.
