These formed rear rails replace stock rear rails in subframe-equipped cars. Stamped from sheetmetal, stock rear rails were never intended to handle more than stock horsepower levels. When higher power is achieved, stock rear frames bend and twist under the strain, absorbing power that could be used to make the car accelerate quicker. Designed from the ground up, Competition Engineering's rear rails provide an exact fit with only some modifications to the stock floor pan. Each rail is mandrel-bent on computer-controlled machinery to eliminate the kinks and wrinkles often found in other frame rails. The finest 2" x 3" x .083" wall mild steel tubing is used to guarantee top quality and unequalled strength. Some welding is required for installation.
