The FireBall HI-6M increases your Marine engines horsepower, torque, RPM and throttle response! With 3x more spark-gap energy than comparable ignitions, this surface-mount, robotics assembly technology is a fully-digital design that delivers far greater unit reliability. The built-in, ''No-Chips'' adjustable rev-limiter uses adjustable rotary switches in 100 RPM increments from 600-9000 RPM. The HI-6M triggers from Mercury Marine or other distributors or crank triggers with magnetic pickups (Thunderbolt V module not required). This ignition also features crossfire protection, which is great for use with nitrous oxide, superchargers, or turbochargers. There is also a knock-sensor input to prevent engine damage on turbo/supercharger or nitrous applications, or from low octane fuel. Six different advance curves are tailored for Mercury Marine applications (425 HP, 450 HP, 500 HP, 500 HP Supercharged, 600 HP Supercharged, and 800 HP Supercharged) or no advance for fixed timing. The HI-6M ignition box is fully potted and Weather-Pak terminated for resistance to harsh marine environments. There is also easy checking for system problems, with no guess work! The built-in flash codes tell what the problem is. Checks coil, ground, power supply, loose or broken wires and the ignition unit itself! Marine certified UL 1120/SAE J1171.
