Individually Factory Tested at 4000 psi The same technology used in serious race cars is now available for your street car. Earl's flexible brake hoses are made of extruded Teflon wrapped in a sheath of tightly braided stainless steel wire. This construction resists ''line swell'' which improves the firmness of the pedal and reduces the stopping distance. The ''thumping'' of anti-lock brakes is also reduced which causes quicker stops; as much as 18' at 80 mph. Only recently have stainless steel brake lines been available for use on street driven vehicles because of stringent requirements and tests. With the help of Earl's patented and exclusive ''whip dampener'' design, their hoses were able to pass the extremely rigorous test. That design can withstand the continuous flexing of the hoses during suspension and steering movements.
