FAST E7 CD Ignition Controller

FAST's E7 CD Ignition Controller delivers high output fire power, up to 160mJ of energy, designed to allow the full performance of a race engine where high-compression, nitrous oxide and boosted applications are common. The high voltage sparks of the E7 are managed by an efficient digital controller coupled with an efficient transformer and capacitor. The fully digital design allows for much higher speed and accuracy of spark timing and rev limits than analog systems. The controller’s composite enclosure saves weight, while an aluminum-finned, extruded heat sink improves heat dissipation. Included is two built-in rev limiters, a tach output and 20 degrees of start/retard for less wear and easier starting. Perfect for drag, circle track and boat race applications.

Adjustable Rev Limiter: The E7 features an adjustable rev limiter along with a second limiter that can be set while staged and waiting for the green light. Both limits are accurately set with positive feeling detent rotary switches. The advanced sequential limiter produces a smooth, free rev limiting action.

Retard Start: The E7 comes with a built-in start retard of 20°. This extra retard rate is active only when the engine cranks over which eases pressure on the starter and flywheel. Once the engine reaches 600 RPM, the timing returns to the mechanical, set amount or programmed timing in an EFI application.
