True Bolt-On Performance!For use with 289, 302, and 351 Windsor motors, this aluminum head features improved air flow over the original GT-40 aluminum heads. The intake side flows 240 cfm at .550'' lift and the exhaust flows 170 cfm at .500'' lift. The 1.94'' intake and 1.54'' exhaust valves allow for more flow, creating more power. Unlike most aftermarket heads, the GT-40X uses either Ford GT-40 or aftermarket performance manifolds, headers, and valve covers. Other features include high temperature exhaust valve seats, a thick deck for improved sealing, increased section thickness for porting, and webbed rocker bosses for improved strength. These heads are designed for bolt-on rocker arms, machined for tapered seat or gasketed spark plug and can be machined for diagonal exhaust header flange mounting. Each GT-40X head is leak tested prior to assembly.
