Precisely-Machined Replacement Distributor Gears

Material Selection

Cast iron gears are compatible with cast iron camshafts (hydraulic or solid flat tappet).

Bronze gears are compatible with both cast iron and billet steel camshafts. They are usually recommended by manufacturers of aftermarket billet steel solid roller tappet camshafts. Bronze wears at a faster rate because it is softer than cast iron or steel.

Steel gears are compatible with billet steel camshafts (hydraulic roller tappet).

Polymer gears are compatible with both cast iron and billet steel camshafts.
They are for extreme duty race engines and have excellent wear characteristics.

Installation Note: Distributor gears do not have predrilled holes. See instructions included with gear.
