Precisely-Machined Replacement Distributor Gears


  Material Selection

  • Cast iron gears are compatible with cast iron camshafts (hydraulic or solid flat tappet).
  • Bronze gears are compatible with both cast iron and billet steel camshafts. They are usually recommended by manufacturers of aftermarket billet steel solid roller tappet camshafts. Bronze wears at a faster rate because it is softer than cast iron or steel.
  • Steel gears are compatible with billet steel camshafts (hydraulic roller tappet).
  • Polymer gears are compatible with both cast iron and billet steel camshafts.
    They are for extreme duty race engines and have excellent wear characteristics.

    Installation Note: Distributor gears do not have predrilled holes. See instructions included with gear.
