The key to towing performance is torque, and the 502 HT has it way down low where it's needed most.
With 512 ft/lbs of torque at an incredibly low 2800 RPM and 338 horsepower at 4500 RPM, the 502 HT crate engine will help your vehicle climb hills, accelerate onto highways, and pass with confidence. The engine, which requires an electric fuel pump because the Gen VI block has no mechanical pump boss, includes oil pan, valvetrain, valve covers, timing set, balancer, and externally-balanced 14" automatic transmission flexplate. For manual transmissions, use externally-balanced flywheel (#809-14096987) and 11" clutch assembly.
