Hughes Performance Torque Converters are built to take all the punishment your engine can create even under the most challenging conditions. They are manufactured to endure torque and horsepower gains while still delivering top performance for your application.

Street Rod Series (2000-2200 Stall)
Designed for the street rod enthusiast needing that slight edge of the OE converter. Silicon brazing for strength, needle bearings for reliability, and stator modifications for more torque multiplication.

Street Master Series (2200-2500 Stall)
Designed for the driver who is looking for a competitive advantage. By raising the stall RPM, you can eliminate sluggish starts. Recommended for stock to slightly modified engines to achieve performance, along with a smooth idle when the car is in gear.

Pro-Street 30 Series (3000 Stall)
All Pro-Street Converters are brazed to increase strength and have full needle bearing design, front and rear to ensure reliability.

Street/Strip 35 Series (3500 Stall)
Excellent for weekend racing and high-performance street use. All converters are brazed and feature a strengthened sprag, special cut stator, and full needle bearings front and rear.

Competition 40 Series (4000 Stall)
Designed for the serious racer. The most important factor in performance driving is how your car leaves the starting line. The replacement of the fiber thrust washers with heavy-duty needle bearings enables this series to be run on the street but is recommended for the strip.

Pro Competition 45 Series (4500 Stall)
All Pro Competition Converters have full needle bearing replacement of fiber washers. Special silicon spot brazing on top and bottom add to strength and reliability. Hughes installs a premium built sprag assembly and a specially machined stator.
