ididit 1953-79 Ford Half-Ton Truck Retrofit Steering Columns are made for Tilt Floor and Tilt Column Shift applications. The Tilt Floor Shift Columns are available in Ford Style or GM Style applications. Tilt Column Shift Columns include a neutral safety switch and everything needed to use your original dash indicator. For use with either 3 or 4-speed automatic transmissions. Attaches to the lower shift arm and requires a solid shift linkage for installation. These columns are available in your choice of paintable steel, chrome plated steel, black powder-coated steel, brushed aluminum or polished aluminum.

3-7/8" Wiring Plug Notes:
1957-64 Steering Column not available in any style.
A pre-welded underdash mount is included with every Ford Style Tilt Floor Shift column
1965-77 Ford Style Tilt Floor Shift columns include an extendable shaft to adjust column length to fit either a manual or power gearbox.
A pre-welded underdash mount is included with all 1965-79 GM Style Tilt Floor Shift Columns
1965-77 Tilt Column Shift Column includes a neutral safety switch
1978-79 Tilt Column Shift Column uses the original transmission mounted neutral safety switch
When installing your OEM steering wheel to a Ford Style Retrofit Column, the OEM wheel must be for the same year application as the column. Use of a different year will result in damage to the turn signal switch.
A stock Ford steering wheel will not bolt to a GM Style column or a tilt column shift column.
