JEGS SFI Supercharger Harmonic Balancers/Dampers
JEGS Supercharger Harmonic Balancers/Dampers are specifically designed to withstand the punishment of a supercharged engine. Standard features include dual key ways for added security of the drive unit and SFI 18.1 approval.
JEGS Supercharger Harmonic Balancers/Dampers are manufactured using a unique process which heat bonds, under extreme pressure, the dampening isolator to the center hub and the inertia ring. This process is proven to eliminate slippage and separation of the hub and inertia ring which is the common cause of harmonic balancer/damper failure. You will also find that many harmonic balancers/dampers use a billet aluminum hub. We use a Power-Forged steel hub. Not only does it provide greater strength, without added weight, but it also provides superior wear resistance. Wear resistance is critical to the durability of the oil seal and crank nose areas. All JEGS Supercharger Harmonic Balancers/Dampers are tested to 20,500 RPM. They are available for use with bolt-on pulleys or serpentine drives for late model engines.
The harmonic balancers/dampers for use with bolt-on pulleys are machined for both 3-bolt factory pulleys and 6-bolt Gilmer pulleys.
The serpentine belt style works great with late model engines and features an 8-rib serpentine drive for the supercharger and maximum grip. It can also be used with a factory accessory drive belt. Some models are available with a 10% overdrive to increase supercharger boost.
