The Accuvolt converts battery voltages as low as 9.5 volts to a rock steady user adjustable out put of 13.5 volts to 16.25 volts. This allows the racer to run electronics like fuel pumps, engine management systems, cooling fans and ignition boxes at a consistent high voltage without using an alternator. The Accuvolt is also useful for large audio systems, high demand communications equipment, or sophisticated on-board electronics such as computers and moving map GPS displays.
