The MSD Rich/Lean Indicator (RLI) makes tuning your engine a simple job. By measuring the amount of oxygen in the exhaust, the RLI will tell you whether your engine is running on the rich or lean side of stoichiometry (14.7:1 air/fuel ratio). RLI is especially helpful in tuning after making carburetor, fuel injection or intake manifold changes. The RLI uses a heated titanium oxygen sensor to measure the oxygen content in the exhaust. this sensor screws into a special 7/8'' boss that is easily welded into the exhaust. The RLI Control Unit can be dash mounted or hand-held and has two lights; green and red. When the green light is on, the mixture is rich. When the red light is on, the mixture is lean. The point of stoichiometryos when the light switches rapidly between green and red. The RLI can be used to check the mixture at ible, wide open throttle and during other operating conditions.
