The Mallory HEI Performance Coils are a high performance replacement ignition coils for 1975 and later Delco-Remy HEI Distributor equipped cars and trucks with the ignition coil mounted to the distributor cap. The Mallory HEI Performance Coils deliver the added voltage required by performance engines and gives a custom look while incorporating standard mounting specifications. While the stock HEI coil output drops off sharply above 5,000 RPM, the Mallory HEI Performance Coil #650-29212 is a high performance replacement coil that stays strong to 5,500 RPM. The Mallory HEI Performance Coil #650-29215 is best for engines that normally operate above 4,000 RPM, and is effective up to 7,000 RPM. The Mallory HEI Performance Coils are an economical way to increase the RPM range of any Delco HEI ignition. The Mallory HEI Performance Coils can be used with any of the Mallory HYFIRE IIA, IIIA, IV/A-C or CD/IS Ignition Controls.
