ProMaxx heads have started a revolution in the performance world. They have custom designed a head to meet the demands of the Big Block Chevy world, while keeping the quality high and the price reasonable. These BB-Chevy heads come in an As-Cast series or Full CNC-Ported series. The As-Cast series features ''as-cast'' runners and combustion chambers with hand blended valve bowls. The Full CNC-series heads have professionally machined ports and combustion chambers that flow and perform as good as or better than some of the best cylinder heads in the industry. Basic components include U.S. made bronze valve guides, and ProMaxx 5-angle valve job. Assembled heads include 21-4N stainless valves, springs, retainers, 7/16'' rocker studs, guide plates, and viton seals (Bare heads do not include these items).

How To Install ProMaxx Performance Big Block Chevy Aluminum Cylinder Heads
Installation of ProMaxx Performance Big Block Chevy aluminum cylinder heads first begins with block deck preparation. The deck surface needs to be confirmed to proper specification and clean for proper head gasket sealing. Prepare the new cylinder heads by blowing out the passageways that will help with removing any leftover machining debris. Piston-to-valve clearance must be confirmed before final assembly. Line up the head gaskets to the block and torque the head bolts to the manufacturer's specifications in the proper sequence. The bolts must be used with washers (to prevent galling) and are first torqued in increments per the instructions. Sealer must be used for all bolts that are in water jackets and anti-seize to the rest of the bolts as well as the spark plugs. It is very important not to use a torque wrench on intake and exhaust manifold bolts, spark plugs, and accessory bolts to prevent damage to cylinder head threads. Only tighten these bolts to "snug".
