A two-finger-operated lift locks out reverse and, during the return from reverse, it automatically clears, releases, and resets while the safety park position assures that the shifter does not pop out of gear. An integral control switch can activate a staging device, transbrake, or nitrous system. Units with reverse shift patterns work with most air shifters, and gate plates are available to convert forward units to reverse.
