The Cross Steer rack and pinion has a smooth and consistent effort through its entire travel, unlike the Vega boxes. The retro fit kit includes everything you need to replace the Vega Steering box, No welding or Drilling required. Cross Steer kits install in less than an hour with ordinary hand tools and come polished and plated to compliment existing chromed components. This rack increases ground and engine clearance and the rack and pinion gears are made of automotive materials to accommodate vehicles exceeding 3000lbs.
