Venom Hi-Flow Toyota Fuel Injectors
There are two fuel injector types indicated by their respective driver design: peak and hold or saturation.
Peak and Hold: The peak and hold driver design usually has a resistance of 1.0 to 1.5 ohms. Battery voltage is pplied to the injector until the predetermined current is reached. The current is then reduced and held during the duration of the pulse width. It is imperative that the injector and driver characteristics are matched between injectors so that the switch between peak and hold does not occur out of sequence with the injector being fully opened. The Venom injector sets assure you that all injectors are sequenced to achieve maximum balance.
Saturation: Saturation driver design has a resistance of 10.0-17.0 ohms. The injector driver is fully on during the entire injector pulse width. This design reduces heat build up and dissipation at the driver, but will have a slower driver response time. Vehicle manufacturers have designed the fuel delivery system around the specific type of injector, peak and hold or saturation. Any substitution of any type for another will result in injector damage and/or very poor performance. All Venom injectors are vehicle specific with the exact OEM coil resistance. Injectors are sold in sets of 4 and 6.
