The yellow and black colors of JEGS will hit downtown Charlotte

The JEGS.com Chevrolet Cobalt that carried current Full Throttle point leader Jeg Coughlin Jr. to the last two NHRA championships will be in the Parade of Power through downtown Charlotte from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday.

Open to the public, the Parade of Power will feature racecars from all of the various motorsport events occurring this fall at zMax Dragway at Concord and Lowes Motor Speedway. Coughlin's car will be used to promote the upcoming second annual Carolina NHRA Nationals, which run from Sept. 17-20 at the Bruton Smith-owned property. The event marks the first of six races in the Full Throttle Countdown to 1 playoffs.

The Parade of Power route goes from 3rd street to the corner of Trade and Tryon. All of the racecars will be parked on the street at Trade and Tryon for public viewing. Once the cars are parked, a special press event will take place in front of the Bank of America building.
