You can have the best of both worlds. Lower your street rod, classic truck or muscle car at the show and raise it up to drive. This has some obvious advantages. First, you want your vehicle looking its coolest at a show. When you get on the street, it just isn't practical to drive around slammed on the ground. Air suspension lets you set your ride height as needed. There is also another benefit to Ridetech suspension systems. Ridetech also lets you tune your suspension for performance through the turns. Lower is generally better to keep the weight low. Because you can inflate the bags or shockwaves, you get a tunable suspension. Ridetech has complete systems for specific applications and general, such as 4 link rear suspension kits. This makes the installation a whole lot quicker and easier for backyard mechanics.
With air suspension, you'll need a compressor. Ridetech offers a number of air compressors to run on-board. This allows you to raise your vehicle back up by inflating the air bags or Shockwaves. There are several options including the Air Pod. This is a complete unit that has the compressor, most plumbing and electric connections hooked up. You simply mount the unit and hook up the 4 air lines along with the 3 electrical connections. Other compressors are available for more custom applications. Those take longer to install, but offer similar functionality as the compressor included in the Air Pod.
Many vehicles can use one of the Ridetech 4 link kits to install out back. Choose the one that's right for your application: Triangulated 4 link or parallel 4 link system. These are installed like most 4 link kits with welding required. Different Ridetech shocks may be used, depending on the kit you choose. If you want a complete bolt on rear 4 link system, try the AirBar. Kits are made specifically for each vehicle and are completely bolted in using existing leaf spring mounting areas. This makes for an easy installation. Ridetech builds AirBar kits for a ton of different vehicles.
