Will this setup fit in a 1969 Ford Mustang, Base model with originally the 250ci 4.1L engine?

    Asked by: Brandon33
It is not a direct replacement. Can you make it work? Yes, with the proper mounts and supporting parts. That car was offered with a V8. So you will need to do some research about the parts you will need.

Will this fit in a 1966 mustang?

    Asked by: 66 stangz
Yes but there are a few fitment issues that may need to be addressed. One if your car has the Monte Carlo strut brace it will have to be removed because it can hit the distributor. Ford used two different Flexplates and we provide the most common one with the engine 50oz 164tooth. But some cars used a small bellhousing C4 that requires a 157tooth flexplate. Also if you are running an original manual transmission with the Z-bar you will need to buy a bracket to retain this setup as the block has not provision for it, we can provide you the part number for this bracket if needed.
