Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Bought this to use as an after cooler on a new air compressor to cool air before it goes into the tank, thus reducing condensation. Haven't had a drop of water out of the tank yet. I really didn't expect such great results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built and fair priced. I wanted an engine oil cooler for my Detroit 6.2L diesel - that wasn't in the radiator. I looked around at both product and vendor choices. I'm pleased with both. The oil cooler is quite sturdy with no thin, fins that get bent over when a fly or gnat run into them. This is tough enough it doesn't worry me to clean it with a direct blast from the pressure washer. The 1/2-inch NPT in and out meant it was easy to adapt to whatever size and type of line I wanted. I rather liked the flange on both sides for mounting. It's easy to put 2, or 3, or more screws on each side to hold it in place. It is mounted in front of the radiator, plumbed with 10AN hose (from JEGS too), and seems to be doing a good job. The manual does say the cooler should be mounted with the inlet/outlet pipes on top, or on the sides - not with both pointed straight down, which was my original plan. I'm not sure of the reason, maybe air getting trapped at the top diminishing cooling? Hopefully the folks writing the manual know their business

Rated 1 out of 5 by from B&M Tranny cooler 70266 Bought this cooler for a 1972 cuda with a 727 tranny and a 3800 prm converter. Looks nice but it holds .9 of a liter and it runs back to the tranny over filling it which causes oil out the vent, oil on floor. Only way i could mount it is side ways so inlet on bottom return on top. Call B&M twice never get a answer. Junk Going to put in a old school cooler. Wasted time pullig tranny to see that it was coming from the vent. Not happy with B&M cooler Does not work for this application.

Can it mount laying down? Or must it be vertical?

    Asked by: Milans
This needs to be vertical as it needs air flowing thru it.
