Is each individual motor dyno tested and do they still require the like 20 min break-in at a specific rpm

    Asked by: Fuzzy68
Every single engine is ran on the dyno here before it leaves our facility. Once you receive the engine and have it installed we do still recommend that your follow a standard engine break-in procedure during the first fire up.

At what RPM does this engine make its peak TQ and HP? Would this engine perform well for a towing application?

    Asked by: Jon1981
On average we see peak TQ around 4,500-4,800 RPM and peak HP at 5,500-5,800 RPM. We normally red line the engine at 6,000 RPM.

why are most of these engines 2 bolt mains and would they work in a family jet boat?

    Asked by: Spooner2018
At these power levels the 2 bolt block is the best value option for most applications. Yes, this will work in a jet boat, but this is not marine certified.
