    I have a couple more questions on this engine block. 1. Is the block tapped for both starter bolt patterns, staggered and across. 2. For TDC location, is the timing pointer (if included) set for the 10° or 40° left of keyway position? Thanks

    The block are normally tapped for the standard (straight) starter bolt location. The TDC location on this engine is the 10 degree spot on most of their applications.

    Will the aluminum cylinder heads on this engine accept the older (pre 1986) intake manifold using twelve 3/8 inch bolts slanted at the same angle?

    This application has both patterns in the cylinder head for early or late intakes.
